Fascination with the Web

The web is an ever growing place. I am sure you are already aware of this. We now email more than snail mail, check our facebook 5 times a day, text instead of call (or heaven forbid talk in person). This is old news I am sure. I grew up in the "technology age" and it really hit when I was in 7th-8th grade and had AOL. "You've Got Mail" (besides being a great movie) was my favorite phrase. Knowing someone cared enough to email me was huge. It still is today. Now technology has grown from tapes, cds, mp3s, phones getting smaller and smarter, and computers (desktops and everything in between).

I am going to come out and say it, I am a PC. That's great if you are a Mac, to each their own. I don't own
an Iphone (I love my android), no MacBookPro, or Ipod. When someone tells me on the Mac you can do more graphics (and my degree is in graphics so I have heard this many times, plus am surrounded by many Mac fans), it's a lie. I can do the same thing on my desktop PC as you can on your Mac.Why do you Mac fans like it over a PC? I hear it's simpler all the time, but when I first used the newer Macs I had no idea where anything was. :-o PC and Mac lovers what do you not like about each?

Cell phones are another thing that I like but also can't stand. I will tell you this, I do not speak on the phone as much as I play around on my phone. Funny how technology is getting smarter and has us wrapped around it's cord huh? One thing I do love about my android is the Amazon Kindle app. Just to let you know I am a big fan of Amazon. I order things off of there all the time, and now with Kindle on my phone they have me wrapped around their little finger. It's amazing that I can download a Kindle book online and it instantly synced to my phone and I can read it right there. When I finish reading on my phone, it syncs right to my computer (if you download it for PC) and I can pick up where I left off. Genius! Just do a simple Google search "amazon kindle app for android (or iphone, blackberry, etc)." See if it is right for you. Let me know what you think.

Beyond the cool phones and technology out there for us to get our hands on, I also enjoy to build websites. My degree is actually in web development. I always learn something new everytime I work on a project. I am currently working on the design of a website and have been having the hardest time with creating a nice color scheme. Does anyone have any places they visit for help, know of any good design template sites, etc? I found a color scheme website online and it works, and I like the colors I get, I just don't know how to place them. It looks like I have too much blue, orange, purple etc in some places and not enough red, green, pink, in others. Know what I mean? Any advice on how you tackle these problems would be great. :-) Does anyone else run into this problem? If you have, how have you solved it? Are there any special resources you use? I will keep you updated with my website design dilemma and post a general layout of what I come up with when I get it figured out. If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to contact me and I'll get back to you. Until then...
